Trevor Sanborn Tops the
Field in
Port
City Triple Crown 100 Lapper |

Trevor
Sanborn of Parsonsfield topped the field Saturday night
during the Port City Triple Crown 100 lap Oxford 250 RB
Performance Super Late Model qualifier. TJ Brackett of
Buckfield finished in 2nd place with Joey Doiron taking
home the 3rd place finish.
Cam Richards won his
2nd feature of the season in the Cooley's Commercial
Tires Mad Bombers. Richards took the lead on lap 2 and
led the rest of the feature. Nick Wilson and Spencer
Barth finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Evan Roy
won his 6th ATA Piping Inc Rookies feature of the
season. Liz Newton took the early lead and managed to
pull away from the field. Roy moved into 2nd on lap 4
and raced up to take the lead from Newton on lap 8. Liz
Newton settled with 2nd place and Cayleigh Rose picked
up 3rd.
Brandon Varney dominated in the Kennebec
Equipment Rental MODS feature to win his 2nd feature of
the season. Shawn Knight picked up 2nd with Kevin Oliver
finishing in 3rd place.
Kristina Nadeau won her
first race of the season in the DLM Excavation and
Landscaping Limiteds. Nadeau took the early lead and led
comfortably until the final lap of the feature when
Tiger Colby tried to take the lead. Tiger Colby ended up
settling for 2nd place and Colby Meserve took home 3rd
place.
Jake Plummer won his first race of the
season in the Kyle Hewins Motorsports/ Floor Solutions
Thunderstocks feature. The feature was a $500 to win 35
lapper that brought out 12 cars - the most they've had
all season! Plummer took the lead after a caution on lap
3. Cody White moved into 2nd on lap 5 and raced the
leader side by side for a few laps before falling back.
After a caution on lap 23 Thomas Richards moved into 2nd
with Charlie Young right beside him. Unfortunately
Richards got loose and ended up going off the track and
into the turn 1 wall. Richards was fine but it was the
end of his night. Jake Plummer managed to keep the lead
the rest of the feature with Cody White finishing in 2nd
place and Charlie Young taking home 3rd place.
Joey Israelson led all 30 laps of the Richard Spaulding
Roofing Street stocks feature to win his 2nd feature of
the season. Tyson Jordan and Cam Childs finished 2nd and
3rd respectively,
Greg Durgin won his 2nd feature
of the season in the Aroma Joe's Figure 8s. Jeff Heaward
took home 2nd place with Dale Dugin rounding out the top
3.
Oxford Championship Series continues on
Saturday July 30th at 6pm with the 2nd Port City Triple
Crown Super Late Model 100 lap feature.
