Rose Captures His
First
SLM Win of the OPS Season |
Calvin Rose Jr. picked up the win in the Bessey
Motors Super Late Models putting an end to Max Cookson's
4 win streak at Oxford.
Tyler Connolly won his
first race in the ATA Piping Inc. Rookies. Cayleigh Rose
took the early lead with Jaxon Moreside in 2nd. Connolly
moved up to challenge Moreside and took over 2nd on lap
6. Connolly chased down Rose and took the lead on lap 10
and led the rest of the 15 lap feature. Cayleigh Rose
took home 2nd with Jaxson Moreside settling for 3rd
place.
Tony Gibbons won his first race in the
Cooley’s Commercial Tires Mad Bombers. Tyler Jalbert and
Nick Wilson officially finished 2nd and 3rd respectively
after tech.
Tyson Jordan won his 2nd race of the
season in the Richard Spaulding Roofing Specialist
Street Stocks. Richard Spaulding took the early lead
with Joe Morse behind him in 2nd and Tyson Jordan in
3rd. Jordan moved up the outside to battle for 2nd,
finally taking the spot on lap 22. Jordan took the lead
in the closing laps and ran away with it. Richard
Spaulding settled for 2nd with Joe Morse picking up 3rd
place.
Caleb Morris dominated in the KHM/Floor
Solutions Thunder Stocks winning his first feature of
the season.Todd Hall picked up 2nd place with Charlie
Hall finishing in 3rd place.
Nate Leavitt topped
the field in the Dow Excavation Inc. Limiteds. Early on
Jordan Russell took the lead with Leavitt in 2nd. After
a caution on lap 13, Russell got loose on the restart
leaving Leavitt the chance to take the lead. Leavitt led
the rest of the 35 lap feature, Jordan Russell finished
in 2nd with Ryan Ripley picking up 3rd place.
Larry Lizotte took home his 1st win of the season in the
Aroma Joe's Figure 8s. Dale Durgin and Eric Hodgkins
finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Kate Re
started on the Bessey Motors SLM pole but after a
caution on the first lap Joe Pastore took the lead on
the restart. Calvin Rose Jr. moved into 2nd and Re fell
back to 3rd. Rose took the lead on lap 4 and ran away
with it. After cautions on lap 29 and lap 31, Re moved
back into 2nd place with Mike Rowe following suit
pulling into 3rd. Rose led the rest of the 50 lap
feature with Kate Re taking home a solid 2nd place
finish and Mike Rowe finishing in 3rd place.
The
Oxford Championship Series continues May 27th at 6pm
with the Wicked Good Vintage Association Hobby Division
joining them for the night. |
