EXCITING RACING ONCE AGAIN AT
OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY GO-KART TRACK

The Jarr Racing Photography Go-Karting program at Oxford Plains Speedway continues to grow every time out and this past Thursday night saw several new faces grace the pit area. Winners included Logan Spencer, Everett Allyn, Brandon Varney and Austin Teras.

A solid field of nine carts started the Jr. Box Stock feature and when it was all said and done, Logan Spencer grabbed his first win of 2014. It was not an easy win as Colby Brackett was quickly closing in, but ran out of time and settled for second. Maddy Herrick, Jeremy Desrochers and Dilen Drew rounded out the top five. Brackett won the qualifying round.

The Jr. Sportsman feature was a wild event featuring numerous spins and lead changes. When the checkers flew it was Everett Allyn grabbing the win over Madison Morse, Nick Moulton, Riley Corbridge and Dakota Tompkins. Morse carried the heat checkered flag.

The Sr. Sportsman saw Brandon Varney survive two late race restarts to pick up a hard fought win over Stephen Beattie. Alex Ferland and Brooke Keene chased the pair to the stripe. Beattie picked up the heat win.

Austin Teras kept his winning streak alive as he edged out Gabe Brown for the Sportsman division victory. Tucker Olsen and Ethan Brown followed them home. Gabe Brown collected the victory in the qualifying round.

The Box Stock class will be added to the action on Saturday, August 2nd, the next time that the Go-Karts return to Oxford Plains Speedway. Post time is 10am, pits open at 8am, and practice begins at 8:45am.
