The 2nd Annual Colossal Carnage
100 on Sunday, May 3rd was a great day to be at the race
track with great weather for the 100 lap enduro paying
$2,500 to win.
Billy Child's Jr from Leeds, ME
would end up claiming victory in his # 69 car followed
by Shawn Knight of South Paris, ME in the #25 Dustin
Salley of Poland. ME the 2013 Rebel Champion at Oxford
Plains Speedway brought his #55 home with a strong 3rd
place finish. Kyle Hewins the 2014 Allen's Coffee
Flavored Brandy Street Stock Rookie of The Year put on a
great performance as he made up several laps in the
enduro that he lost while pitting for flat tires. With
only two laps to go, Hewins broke a right front axle and
came to the checkered flag with three wheels and a
fourth place finish. Rounding out the top five for the
Colossal Carnage 100 was veteran driver Zac Emerson in
the #77.
The legends of burnouts were also on
track for the Smoky Donut Show as Jim Pineo took the
victory in the Smoky Donut Show with William Dixon as
runner up in the 1988 Mustang. The Spectator Drags also
put on a great show with Mark Pennell winning in his
Dodge Dakota, Calvin Rose Jr came in second place in a
Mustang.
The $500 to win Chain Race ended the
day's events with Dustin Damon taking the checkered flag
with teammate Nate Vradenburg in tow, Shawn Knight
pulling Shawn Hinkley came in second, and Josh Knoll
with Bob Anderson rounded out the top three.
INEX Legends were also in action with Austin Teras
winning the feature event with Curt Snow in the runner
up position.
Oxford Plains Speedway will be back
in action on Saturday, May 9th with opening day for the
Budweiser Championship Series as the Budweiser Super
Late Models, OPS Modifieds, Allen's Coffee Flavored
Brandy Street Stocks, and the most affordable way to go
racing the Oxford Plains Speedway Bandit Division. |

The 2nd Annual Colossal Carnage Enduro will be held on
Sunday May 3rd. This year’s event will be a 100 Lap 4 &
6 cylinder enduro that will pay $2,500 to the winner.
The show will also inlcude a 20 Lap Chain Race
that will pay $500 to the winner, Spectator Drags that
will pay $250 to the winner, and a Smoky Donut Show that
will also pay $250 to the winner.
The Colossal
Carnage is sure to be another great event for the entire
family with plenty of thrills and spills to keep
everyone on the edge of their seat throughout the day.
