5-13 OCS FINISHES PDF

Oxford, ME- Justin Drake of Burnham scored his first victory in the Budweiser Oxford Championship series, Super Late Model division Saturday night.

A solid field of 22 Super Late Models took the green flag led by Alan Tardiff of Lyman, who went on to lead the most laps in the event.

A late charge by Mike Rowe of Turner made an impressive battle up front with the top five cars close at hand as the laps wound down in the 50 lap event.

Drake pulled out the win with Rowe taking second, followed by Tardiff in third. Shawn Martin of Turner and Reid Lanpher of Manchester, rounded out the top five.

Billy Childs Jr. of Leeds pulled out an impressive first win of the season in the 30 lap Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy Street Stock division.

Childs started on the pole and found the battle to be close up front with Bridgton’s Bryce Mains. Mains took second in the event followed by Richard Spaulding of Lisbon for third place. Matt Dufault of Turner and David Whittier of Poland followed closely for fourth and fifth place.

The Bandit division is not lacking in race excitement of their own this season. The top spots were in high demand with Jacob Hall of Oxford taking the checkers for the win.

A hard fought battle behind Hall had fans talking as Brandon Varney of Auburn and Jamie Heath of Waterford battled door to door for the second place spot. Varney managed to take second with Heath following in third place. Shaun Hinkley of Oxford and Adam Sanborn of West Paris rounded out the top five.

The Figure 8 division has a new winner this week, one who is no stranger to Oxford Plains Speedway. Tommy Tompkins who has run other divisions over the years found his way to Victory Lane in the 15 lap event.

David Smith of South Paris settled for second place honors as Jon Lizotte of Lewiston, Kyle Kilgore of South Paris , and Dale Lawrence of Minot completed the top five in the event.

The next event at Oxford Plains Speedway is Saturday May 20th at 7pm with the Budweiser Oxford Championship Series and the Pro All Star Series Modifieds. Call us at 207-539-8865 for information.
