Brandon Barker Scores His First
Super Late
Model Win |
Oxford, ME - Brandon Barker scored his
first Super Late Model win holding off Reid Lanpher to
win the 50 Lap Main Event with the 2017 Oxford 250
Champion Curtis Gerry finishing 3rd. A great field of 28
Super Late Models started the race with as competitors
dial in car for the 45th Annual Clark's Scrap Metals
Oxford 250.
The Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy
Street Stocks ran 30 laps of great racing with Tyler
King winning the race after making a late race pass on
Jordan Russell who would end up 2nd with Billy Childs
Jr. rounding out the top 3.
Jake Hall was able to
score his first win of the season in the Bandits with
Chad Wills finishing 2nd and Kurt Hewins finishing 3rd.
Tom Bracket was back in Victory lane in the Rookie
Division with Brady Childs in 2nd and Owen Stuart in
3rd. Brady Heath was out to an early race lead but
mechanical problems resulted in a 4th place finish for
last weeks winner.
The Figure 8 division once
again brought plenty of thrills to the front stretch of
Oxford Plains Speedway with Kyle Kilgore winning the
event as Dale Lawrence and Larry Lizotte rounded out the
top three. Eric Hodgkins made his return to the division
and was on a hard charge to the front when contact with
another car ended his hopes for a win. |
