Childs Captures 2nd
Outlaw Win
during Christmas in July

OXFORD
- Race fans filled
the grandstands Friday night to watch the 3rd Motor
Mayhem event of the season joined by the Oxford
Acceleration Series divisions.
Dustin Salley of
Mechanic Falls led all 15 laps of the 4 cylinder figure
8 race to capture another win. Brandon Varney of
Mechanic Falls hopped in Joshua Dube's ride for the
night to pick up a 2nd place finish and Michael
Mickinney of Bryant Pond took home a 3rd place. Dale
Durgin Jr. of Norway and Richard Kimball finished 4th
and 5th respectively.
Kyle Glover of Oxford took
home the win in the full size figure 8s after getting by
late Dale Lawrence late in the race. Lawrence of Lisbon
still managed to get a 2nd place finish while last
week's winner Larry Lizotte of Lewiston picked up 3rd.
Greg Durgin of Norway rounded out the field in 4th
place.
Nate Dubuc of Lewiston topped the field in
the Rebels winning his first race of the season. Chris
Giguere took the lead at the start and led until lap 14
when Dubuc passed the top 3 on the outside groove. After
a caution lap 17 Giguere fell back. Chris Foster of
Bridgton took over 2nd place while Cam Childs of Leeds
took 3rd. Cody White of West Paris and Chris Giguere of
Lisbon rounded out the top 5.
Bill Grover of
Waterford won his first Cruiser race of the season after
a hard side by side battle with Will Dunphy Jr. until
the checkered was waved. Will Dunphy Jr. of New
Glouester settled for a 2nd place finish with Mickel
Martin of Auburn getting his first podium finish this
season behind him in 3rd. Carl Conant of Lewiston
finished 4th and Charlie Hall Jr of Oxford finished a
season best in 5th.
Breeanna Spaulding of Lisbon
continued her undefeated streak in the Ladies division,
leading all 20 laps of the feature. Newcomer Jenna
Webster of Standish took home 2nd while Chloe Kiley of
South Paris finished in 3rd.
Kolby Morrell of
Sebago won his 5th Sport Truck feature of the season
after making his way up the field taking the lead on lap
9 when Max Rowe and Morrell made contact. Rowe spun but
managed to keep it going. Morrell dominated the rest of
the race. Chuck Estes of Lewiston finished 2nd while
Randy Green of West Paris took home 3rd place. Max Rowe
of Turner and Jake Dobson of Hartford finished 4th and
5th respectively.
Cody Childs of Auburn took home
his 2nd win of the season in the Outlaws. Childs took
the lead from Gerald Freve on lap 10 and race away with
it. Shaun Hinkley of Oxford worked his way up through
the field and after a caution on lap 12 he took over 2nd
place, Gerald Freve of Buckfield held on to a 3rd
defending it from Jacob Vaughn during the final laps to
take home the last podium position. Jacob Vaughn of
Naples had to settle for 4th while Dean Hanscom of Gray
rounded out the top 5. |
