Oxford, Maine - Chris Pasteryak of Jewett City,
Connecticut raced to victory in Saturday night's 100-lap
Valenti Modified Racing Series feature race, headlining
the Dunkin' Donuts night crowd at Oxford Plains
Speedway.
Pasteryak was the dominant car in the race, easily
outrunning Kevin Iannarelli of Groton, Massachusetts to
the checkered flag. Les Hinckley of Windsor Locks,
Connecticut was third, followed by Russ Hersey of
Swanzey, New Hampshire and Donnie Lashua of Canaan, New
Hampshire.
Toby Wells of Dublin, New Hampshire continued his
dominance of North East Mini Stock Tour competition,
winning handily. Matt Sonnhalter of East Thetford,
Vermont claimed runner-up honors, with Jamie Heath of
Waterford third across the finish line. Heywood Harriott
of Gorham, New Hampshire and Justin Trombley of Winter
Harbor rounded out the top five.
Josh Childs of Oxford broke a recent dry spell,
picking up his sixth win of the season in Allen's Coffee
Flavored Brandy Street Stock action. Championship points
leader Zach Emerson of Sabattus mounted a late
challenge, but settled for a second-place finish in
front of Greene's Zach Bowie. Andrew Breton of Sabattus
and West Poland's David Whittier filled out the top
five.
Evan Armington of Lovell won his second OPS Mods main
event of the season, outrunning Andy Shaw of Center
Conway, New Hampshire to the checkered flag.
Championship points leader Ryan Robbins of Dixfield was
third, with Newburgh's Scott Alexander just nipping
Matty Sanborn of Westbrook for fourth position.
Cole Boudreau of Chipman, New Brunswick led a
Canadian sweep of the podium positions in INEX Legends
Cars competition. Emily Meehan of Rawdon Gold Mines,
Nova Scotia earned a second straight runner-up finish at
OPS in the 25-lapper. Nicholas Naugle of Dartmouth, Nova
Scotia took the third-place trophy. Mike Humphrey of
Cornish and Ryan Kuhn from East Bridgewater,
Massachusetts rounded out the top five.
Eddie Gilman of Sandown, New Hampshire also won his
second straight OPS race in the Classic Lites finale.
Doug Dawkins of Haverhill, Massachusetts earned
runner-up spoils, in front of Plaistow, New Hampshire's
Eric Skofield. Duane Skofield and Tom Harton of
Barington, New Hampshire completed the top five rundown.
Mark Theriault and Arthur Hannaford won 20-lap races
for the Wicked Good Vintage Racers.
