2010 MOTOR MAYHEM FINALE FORMAT

MOTOR MAYHEM SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4, 2010
Pit Gates Opens at 5pm
Pit Admission $20 with license. $25 without
Front Gate Opens at 5:30pm
Grandstand admission $10 for adults, $5 for children (6-12) 5 & under free.
Mayhem Begins at 6:30pm

Event Format

Spectator Drags

Event consists of a "Street Legal" car or truck. All entries must display valid inspection sticker. Race will start with both cars on the start/finish line. Starter will assign inside-outside positions. When starter waves the green flag, cars will race for one lap. Loser of the race will exit into the pit area and winner will return to infield area. Races will run in rotation until one final pair remains. Coin toss will determine inside-outside position for finals only. Finals will be a two-out-of-three format with the previous loser getting the inside position. 
First place:  $200.00 Second place:  $100.00


Smokey Donut Show

Open to any type of car or truck. Driver must wear helmet and seat belt. Participants will begin from the start/finish line and turn as many Smokey Donuts within an allotted time. Participants who do not meet the expectations of the crowd will be booed off the track. Drivers will be ranked by way of crowd reaction following their run. If the event is too close to call, a final Burn Off may be instituted. 
First place:  $200.00.  Second place:  $100.00


Flag Pole Race:

There will be a four-cylinder and a full size pole race.  Cars must be Enduro legal.  Each race will be ten laps.  Each car must complete a turn around the flagpole in the front stretch before going on to the next lap.

Four Cylinder Enduro Obstacle Course
Event is open to any four-cylinder engine car.  Must use stock springs. No cutting or heating permitted. Must use stock tires and wheels for make and model. No suspension modifications permitted. Roll cage restricted to simple four-point cage. No front or rear bracing permitted. Each car must provide a scorer or the car will not be allowed to start the event. Cars will race a total of 30 laps on the full oval.
First place:  $500.00, Second place: $200.00, Third place:  $100.00, fourth and fifth place:  $50.00

Four Cylinder Enduro Obstacle Course
Event is open to any four-cylinder engine car.  Must use stock springs. No cutting or heating permitted. Must use stock tires and wheels for make and model. No suspension modifications permitted. Roll cage restricted to simple four-point cage. No front or rear bracing permitted. Each car must provide a scorer or the car will not be allowed to start the event. Cars will race a total of 30 laps on the full oval.
First place:  $500.00, Second place: $200.00, Third place:  $100.00, fourth and fifth place:  $50.00

Full Size Enduro Obstacle Course

Event is open to any full or intermediate size passenger car of station wagon with a minimum wheelbase of 100 inches. Must use stock springs. No cutting or heating permitted. Must have stock tires and wheels for make and model. No mixing of tire size numbers. No suspension modifications permitted. Roll cage restricted to simple four-point cage. No front or rear bracing permitted. Each car must provide a scorer or the car will not be allowed to start the event. Cars will race a total of 30 laps on the full oval.

First place:  $500.00, Second place: $200.00, Third place:  $100.00, fourth and fifth place:  $50.00 

 

Camper Racing:

1. Only Campers may be used, 26 feet max length.
2. No boats or horse trailers permitted.
3. Must be stripped/gutted. Remove windows,
Refrigerator, stove, furnace, metal holding tanks and or
Any other large heavy objects for the safety of the
Drivers.
4. Hitch must be ball type only. 2 chains no longer than 5
Feet in length each may be used in conjunction with
Hitch.

Regulations:
The object is to destroy the other competitor’s camper.  Once a significant portion of a camper has been destroyed it will be black flagged and removed from competition.
The race is over when there is only one car running with a significant portion of camper left or, is deemed to be over by the officials due to lack of, or inability of the cars to remove each other’s campers. A winner will then be determined.
